Like vol 1 this opens with a scene from the last chapter. And once again, thanks to the amazing translators! Little teaser in the prologue will probably freak you out, because that's a very interesting way to begin the new novel.
This sequel was fast, well paced, full of action once again, and of course, full of mystery.
Tgurneu appears once again, once again getting fantastic ideas of how to screw with the minds of the heroes. The burden this time falls on her, and time is running out fast. We find out about her past, her family and friends, of the terrible circumstances that befell her, and this time, she has to make a choice that could either destroy them all, or save the world. Everyone else, except for Mora, acted as usual. Goldof fell into depression, and hardly speaks.
Not to mention, she and Adlet knew each other for a while. On the other hand, Rolonia, Saint of Fresh Blood, who has the power of healing, blood analysis and combat abilities using her improved whip, joins the group. As Adlet was cleared of suspicion in the first book, he takes on a role of leader and tries his best to solve this mystery. This time, i won't write about each of them in different sections but all in one. Then a Fiendappears and gives Mora the warning “You have no time.” In the meantime, Tgurneu appears, playing mind games with the heroes once again. They are approaching deadline to Evil God's revival, and they have to make sure to find out who the seventh is.
But now, once again, heroes are confused by the appearance of Rolonia, and everything starts again = instead of one, there were two traitors, one is known, and second one is, once again, among them. I will still put some serious spoilers from the first book in spoiler brackets, so the newbies dont see them by accident.Īfter finding out who the traitor is, (view spoiler) (hide spoiler)], and with Rolonia appearing, the story focus shifts on Mora, as the book is this time, mostly from her point of view. You should, of course, avoid reading this part unless you read first book already. Every single one of them have displayed interesting variety of emotions, fears, and character depth in general. It's interesting, but it's greatest point is the complexity of the characters. Once again, beautiful illustrations accompany the book by Miyagi, and they were done greatly. I love his writing, his characters, his story. Once again, i'm mindblown by new twists, revelations and the plot. Final rating: 5/5 stars Once again, i'm mindblown by new twists, revelations and the plot.
